2011 was a special year for Japan and KFBC. We are thankful for Gods protection and grace.
The big earthquake on March 11th changed Japan significant.
We are encouraged to see how many people pray for the victims and are volunteering at Tohoku area.
The situation at the nuclear power plant is still a burden for the people.
Our prayers are with the people who are affected by the earthquake,
tsunami and nuclear accident, especially the children.
We pray that KFBC can be a place where God is present, a place of fellowship and to refresh.
We are looking forward to welcome you at KFBC.

On June 21, 2005, the Meteorological Agency has stated that seismic activity on Mount Asama has been down-graded from Level 3 of September 2004 to Level 2. It further stated that the danger zone around the crater has been reduced from a radius of 4 km to 2 km, indicating the lessening of activity.

As we all know, Mount Asama erupted on September 1, 2004 after 21 years of lying dormant. More than those living in close proximity to Mount Asama, those living in more distant areas were greatly concerned by this occurrence. A Professor Emeritus of Tokyo University has stated, however, that "according to the recorded seismological data of Mount Asama over the past 130 years, there is no danger to life outside a 4 km radius of the crater during any small or medium sized volcano. The GPS technology of the Meteorological Agency can predict seismic activity of a larger scale far enough in advance to prevent disaster." It is unfortunate that there is so much fear instilled within the general population through mass media. Nature does contain many dangers, but we must all think logically and act calmly.
